1. What is a Supernova Gift Card?

The Supernova Gift Card is a bar-coded means of payment in plastic or electronic form (pdf document), which can be used to pay for goods and services in shops and bars in selected Supernova shopping centres. The Gift Card can be loaded with any value between € 10 and € 300 and is valid for 4 years from the date of purchase. When purchasing at Info Points, you can top up the card with a credit rounded to €10, but online you can top up any credit value. 

 
2. Where can I buy a Supernova Gift Card?
You can buy a Gift Card on the website www.supernova-kartica.si or in person during the shopping centre opening hours, at the relevant points of sale (information desk or Gift Card kiosk):
  • Info Point in Supernova: Ljubljana Rudnik and Ljubljana Šiška
  • Kiosk (gift machine) in Supernova Mercator Nova Gorica
  • Info Point of the Spar/Interspar store in Supernova: Kranj, Nova Gorica, Novo mesto, Kamnik, Maribor and Ptuj
  • Info Point of the Mercator store in Supernova Mercator: Novo mesto, Kranj Savski otok, Kranj Primskovo, Koper, Celje, Slovenj Gradec and Jesenice. 
 
3. Where can I redeem a Supernova Gift Card?

The Supernova Gift Card can be redeemed in 20 Supernova shopping centres:

  • Supernova: Ljubljana Rudnik, Ljubljana Šiška, Kranj, Nova Gorica, Novo mesto, Kamnik, Maribor, Maribor Tržaška, Ptuj and Koper
  • Supernova Mercator: Kranj Primskovo, Kranj Savski otok, Novo mesto, Ajdovščina, Postojna, Nova Gorica, Koper, Slovenj Gradec, Celje and Jesenice. 

Exceptions (shops and bars) where the Gift Card cannot be redeemed are:

  • Loterija Slovenije
  • banking and financial points
  • promotional stores (temporary stalls with external promoters)
  • other current exceptions that do not yet have a Gift Card redemption system in place
 
4. What is the time limit for using the Supernova Gift Card?

The Supernova Gift Card is valid for 4 years from the date of purchase or exchange (in case of swapping the Qlandia gift vouchers for the Supernova Gift Card or swapping of the Qlandia Gift Card for the Supernova Gift Card). It becomes active immediately after the purchase. It becomes invalid when you have used up all your credit (recharging is not possible).

 
5. How much money can I load on a Supernova Gift Card?

The Gift Card can be loaded with any value between € 10 and € 300. In the event that the value of the purchase is lower than the value of the credit on the Gift Card, the remaining value will be noted on the Gift Card and can be used for the next purchase until the credit used up. If your purchase exceeds the value of the credit on the card, the remaining amount must be paid in cash or by bank card (depending on whether payment is made at the Supernova store or bar). The Supernova Gift Card is irreplaceable for cash and it is not possible to pay the balance in cash.

 
6. Can I give the Supernova Gift Card to another person?

Of course, the Supernova Gift Card is a GREAT gift for all occasions. It is non-nominal and transferable. By transferring the rights of the Gift Card, the new holder acquires all the rights that the previous holder had. The issuer of the Gift Card is not obliged to verify the identity of the person and is not responsible for any misuse of the Gift Card.

 
7. What Supernova Gift Cards are available to me?

 You can choose from many pre-designed motifs of the Supernova Gift Card or create a unique personalized card by uploading any photo on www.supernova-kartica.si.

 
8. What are the costs of purchasing a physical Supernova Gift Card?

When you purchase a Gift Card at an Info Point in one of the selected Supernova shopping centres, your purchase cost is equal to the monetary value you deposit (credit) on the Gift Card.

If you decide to buy a personalized Gift Card online and customize it according to your wishes, you will cover, in addition to the value of the credit, the cost of processing the purchase, personalizing the Gift Card, as well as postal charges. You will then receive the Gift Card within 7 working days and we will send it to your postal address or to the postal address of your gift recipient.

 
9. I need a gift right away. What is an e-Supernova Gift Card?

The Supernova e-Gift Card is a GREAT ‘last minute’ gift! When you order, you will receive a PDF document that you can send by e-mail, print or save on your phone. The purchase cost is the value of the credit you deposit on the e-Gift Card. You can also personalize your e-Gift Card with a photo of your choice. If you pay by credit card, you will receive the e-Gift Card immediately. If you pay by proforma invoice, you will receive the e-Gift Card when your transferred amount is visible on the issuer's bank account.

 
10. Can I check the balance of a Supernova Gift Card?

Yes, you can check the balance of the Supernova Gift Card at all points of sale in selected Supernova shopping centres, where they accept it as a means of payment and on the website www.supernova-kartica.si.

The Gift Card is linked to the internal system of Supernova shopping centres. If the Gift Card system does not work due to a temporary interruption of the internet connection or other technical error, it is not possible to check or redeem the Supernova Gift Card (until the system is re-set).

 
11. Lost/damaged Supernova Gift Card. What can I do?

If you lose your Supernova Gift Card, you are not entitled to a replacement. In the case of a damaged Gift Card’s bar code, the owner can still make a purchase, but the bar code must be legible so that the seller can manually enter it into the card system. The issuer of the Supernova Gift Card is not responsible for the loss or theft of a Gift Card and all possible damage caused by improper disposal of the Gift Card and unjustified use of credit on the Gift Card.

 
12. I have a Qlandia Gift Card. Can I use it to shop in the Supernova shopping centres?

The Qlandia Gift Card can still be redeemed in former Supernova Qlandia shopping centres (now Supernova: Nova Gorica, Kranj, Kamnik, Novo mesto, Maribor and Ptuj). If you wish to use it to shop at other selected Supernova shopping centres, you can swap it for a Supernova Gift Card.

The replaced, newly issued Supernova Gift Card or e-Gift Card takes on all the features and characteristics of the Supernova Gift Cards. The holder can swap the Qlandia physical or e-Gift Card for the Supernova e-Gift Card free of charge on the website www.supernova-kartica.si. The new Supernova e-Gift Card is valid for 4 years from the date of replacement.

 
13. I have Qlandia gift vouchers. How could they be exchanged?

Qlandia gift vouchers are no longer accepted as a means of payment. Gift vouchers can be exchanged for the Supernova Gift Card free of charge at the Info Point of Spar stores and Interspar megamarkets in former Supernova Qlandia shopping centres (now Supernova: Nova Gorica, Kranj, Kamnik, Novo mesto, Maribor and Ptuj), where the monetary value of vouchers is preserved and transferred to the Supernova Gift Card.

When exchanging gift vouchers Qlandia for a Gift Card Supernova, you will receive one (1) copy of the Supernova Gift Card exchange (purchase) certificate. Keep this certificate for possible complaints about the Gift Card (complaints about the sold Qlandia Gift Card can be made within one (1) month after purchase) at the Info Point of Spar stores and Interspar megamarkets in former Supernova Qlandia shopping centres (now Supernova: Nova Gorica, Kranj, Kamnik, Novo mesto, Maribor and Ptuj).

 

14. I have a complaint. Who should I contact?

In the event of errors and ambiguities related to the transaction when purchasing a Supernova Gift Card, the customer must find a solution at the Info Point of the Supernova shopping centre where he/she made the purchase Gift Card and loaded the desired credit on it. In the event of a complaint, the customer must present a signed and stamped receipt that he or she received when purchasing the Supernova Gift Card. No complaint is possible without a purchase confirmation. Complaints are possible 1 month after the purchase of the Gift Card Supernova (period begins from the date of purchase, stated on the purchase confirmation).

In the event of a complaint, the holder of the Gift Card can also contact the Info Point in the Supernova Ljubljana Rudnik shopping centre (info@supernova.si).

 
15. Who issues and who sells the Supernova Gift Card?

The Issuer of the Supernova Gift Card (hereinafter referred to as the "Gift Card") is the company Supernova Marketing d.o.o., Jurčkova cesta 223, 1000 Ljubljana.

For the Issuer, the company Spar Slovenia d.o.o. sells the Supernova Gift Cards in the former Supernova Qlandia shopping centres, so the buyer can purchase a Gift Card at the Info Point of Spar stores and Interspar megamarkets in all former Supernova Qlandia shopping centres (now Supernova: Nova Gorica, Kranj, Kamnik, Novo mesto, Maribor and Ptuj).

For the Issuer, the company Mercator d.o.o. sells the Supernova Gift Cards in the Supernova Mercator shopping centres, so the buyer can purchase a Gift Card at the Info Point of Mercator store in all Supernova Mercator shopping centers (Novo mesto, Kranj Savski otok, Kranj Primskovo and Koper).
